Issued by Scotiabank, the card has a Visa Infinite signature with wordwide acceptance. Its $120 annual fee is waived during the first year of card membership. The card has no introductory APR period, and the interest rate for purchases is 20.99%. New cardholders get a 10% cash back bonus up to $2000 on purchases within the first 90 days.

With this card, you get a 4% return on groceries and recurring payments, like streaming services. There is a 2% cash back rate for gas and daily transit expenses, and 1% unlimited cash back on all other purchases.

Even though the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite benefits don’t include many travel-related benefits, its Visa Infinite signature provides all clients with a comprehensive list of travel insurances and complimentary perks. With it, you can enjoy 24/7 concierge services and Luxury Hotel Privileges when traveling anywhere Visa is accepted.

The main drawback to this card is that all cash back earned is redeemable once a year. This could become an issue for new clients who’d like to use their bonus points to help cover expenses.
