- Annual Fee: $95, which is waived for PenFed Honors Advantage Members;
- Regular APR: 17.99% variable APR for purchases and 0% intro APR for 12 months for balance transfers you make in your first 90 days after opening your account. After that, 17.99%;
- Welcome bonus: 50,000 bonus points (valid for when you spend $3,000 in your first 90 days with the card);
- Rewards: 4x points on all travel categories (valid only for PenFed Honors Advantage Members); 3x points on all eligible travel categories; 1.5% on any other purchase;
- Terms apply.
How does the PenFed Pathfinder® Rewards Visa Signature® Card work?
For frequent fliers, the PenFed Pathfinder® Rewards Visa Signature® Card more than pays for itself each year. Especially after the initial bonus is earned and statement credits are redeemed.
In the first three months after opening an account, new cardholders are eligible for 50,000 bonus points. But only after spending $3,000 in your first 90 days with the card.
In addition to getting your Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee reimbursed, you can also get up to $100 annually in domestic airline fees covered.

PenFed Pathfinder® Rewards Visa Signature® Card pros and cons
As we mentioned, this PenFed offers incredible perks to its cardholders. However, there are also some downsides. So, read the pros and cons of this card below!
Pros
The first advantage is that, while you must be a member to use any of PenFed’s credit cards, there are no membership fees. You will find a foreign transaction fee that totals zero with this card.
Second, you will receive 50,000 points as a welcome bonus during your first three months. Finally, the PenFed Platinum Rewards program provides high rewards rates.
Cons
Remember when we said there would be no foreign fees? The first disadvantage is that this PenFed has an annual fee of $95. And it is waived only for current Honors Advantage Members.
Concerning fees, each balance transfer incurs a 3% fee. Finally, to reap all of its benefits, you must be a member and have a good or excellent credit score.
Does my credit score need to be good?
The PenFed Pathfinder® Rewards credit card requires a good or excellent credit score. If you do not know your score, we recommend you check it. You can do it for free and estimate your approval odds.
PenFed Pathfinder® Rewards Visa Signature® Card is not a suitable first-time card. Never-credit-card-owners may not be authorized unless they have excellent credit.
