The Discover it® Miles credit card is a fantastic introductory product for those looking for an everyday card with travel perks as its primary benefit.

Even though it lacks some of the most enticing advantages for frequent travelers, like loyalty programs, it provides one of the most interesting reward programs with an unlimited miles-for-miles Discover match at the end of the first year of account opening.

With a 0% intro APR for the first 15 months and a free-of-charge annual fee, you can maximize your earnings in the first 12 months just by prioritizing the card to cover your daily expenses. The Discover it® Miles is widely accepted domestically, and you get a bonus of 1.5x miles on every dollar spent.

The flexible redemption options allow cardholders to redeem their bonus points for whatever they use most. The miles keep the same value and never expire as long as the account is open.

You can redeem your earnings as statement credits or actual money deposited into your bank account. Or, you can choose to pay for travel-related expenses such as hotel rooms, restaurants, airfare, and more.

Unlike most travel-related credit cards, the Discover it® Miles offers no travel insurance or rental-car insurance cover. You also won’t get any balance transfer offers from it. However, for a 0$ annual fee, the perks outbalance the drawbacks by a mile.
